I speculate it's the guaranteed money. It's easy to label the contract to 30mill a year. Don't think the other teams involved were willing to give him more guaranteed money than the Niners. Thus his agent coming back to the Niners to move forward. I think they are going to cook the contract to get him closer to 30 mil a year. But it's actually the guaranteed that's been a holdup. He settled for the guaranteed money the Niners offered. The Niners up his contract to be 30 mil/ year. Win win for both side.

I hope the money is right for both sides and doesn't strap the team to where it is just "lets make a run". I want the deal to be a deal where we can say hey lets not just make a run lets make continuious runs year after year.

I'm realistic. But I want another shot. All hands on deck gives us the best chance to go again.

I feel pretty good about getting the deal done now. Hopefully by Monday.
